The SC PACS ZFP is the web-based part of our package. It contains two modules - оne manages user access rights and the other provides remote access to examinations stored in SC PACS.
The SC PACS ZFP module is based on the Internet Information Services technology provided by Microsoft Windows. This allows both local and remote access to the resources of the SC PACS ZFP.
Within the controlling accounts for access we are able to set the following parameters for each account:
- Name and password for the account
- Account holder name
- Access parameters - local or remote
- Access to different types of examinations - CT, MR, CR, XA, etc.
- Ability to store the changes made to any given examination
- Ability to import studies in DICOM PACS
- Ability to print a study on film
- Ability to burn a DICOM CD / DVD
- Access to a 3D processing functionality
- Ability to send a request to a remote specialist
The second module, called SC PACS ZFP, ensures unimpeded access to examinations from the SC PACS system to any computer with access to the Internet and with a registered account with the appropriate rights in the system. This means that there is no need to have any software installed in order to access the studies done by a radiologist who is currently not physically present at the hospital. This obviously allows the imaging specialists to be more mobile and flexible.
The functions offered by the SC PACS ZFP are fairly limited in order to ensure fast operation of the system online. The SC PACS ZFP offers the following options:
- Examination search based on various criteria such as ID number, patient name, date or period of the examination and description.
- Change the size of the window for the viewed examination series
- Definition of constant width and window level for a given examination
- Rotate the image at an angle (multiples of 90 degrees)
- Invert colors
- MPR
- Remote access to examinations through a web browser
- Minimum image processing in order to facility the operations performed online
- Account management module within the SC PACS system
Due to its web-based structure, the SC PACS ZFP is compatible with all computers with a web browser.
